June JOM

JOM: The Magazine

News and features on TMS, its members, and the professions it serves

Inside the June 2021 Magazine

Over three articles, the June issue of JOM: The Magazine tells the story of the historic TMS 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting & Exhibition (TMS2021 Virtual), which took place March 15–18, and marked the first fully online installment of the TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition. These articles cover the all-conference plenary, technical sessions, awards ceremonies, student events, poster contest results, and more. Plus, read a recap of the TMS Foundation’s virtual donor event held during TMS2021 Virtual, which featured informal networking and a presentation by 2021 TMS Fellow Donald R. Sadoway. The June installment of TMS Member News also highlights National Safety Month and the first Congress on Safety in Engineering and Industry, scheduled for November 1–3, 2021, and explores TMS membership benefits, including the TMS Recent Graduate membership program. And don’t miss this month’s “In the Final Analysis” from TMS Executive Director Jim Robinson, where he gives readers the scoop on the upcoming transition in JOM’s publishing format.
