About the Fifth International Conference on Structural & Functional Intermetallics: Registration Information


FIFTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON STRUCTURAL & FUNCTIONAL INTERMETALLICS
July 16–19, 2000  ·  Vancouver, British Columbia

The Fifth International Conference on Structural & Functional Intermetallics (ICSFI), sponsored by The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS), will be held July 16-19, 2000, at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Westin Bayshore has a waterfront location overlooking picturesque Coal Harbor.

Take advantage of the discounted advance registration fees. Complete the Advance Registration form (available in PDF format and using the Adobe Acrobat) and return it by Monday, June 19, 2000 to receive the discounted advance registration fee to:

Full Payment in US dollars must accompany the completed Advance Registration form. Register by Monday, June 19, 2000 and receive the advance registration discount from the on-site registration fee.

REFUND POLICY

Written requests must be sent to TMS Meeting Services, 184 Thorn Hill Road, Warrendale, PA 15086. No refunds will be issued after June 19, 2000. A $50 processing fee will be charged on all cancellations.

LETTERS OF INVITATION

The Fifth International Conference on Structural & Functional Intermetallics Organizing Committees will issue letters of invitation to individuals requiring such a document. Such letters though, do not commit The Fifth International Conference on Structural & Functional Intermetallics Organizing Committees to providing financial support. We want you to join TMS and experience the Society and what it has to offer. Pay only $54 (dues are currently $90 per year), and receive membership in TMS for the remainder of the year 2000!

Non-member students may apply for Joint ASM/TMS Student Membership for $25.00 annually (students living in North America only), or TMS Student Membership for $15.00 annually (students living outside North America.)

AUDIO/VIDEO RECORDING POLICY

The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) reserves the right to any audio and video reproduction of all presentations at every TMS-sponsored meeting. Recording of sessions (audio, video, still-photography, etc.) intended for personal use, distribution, publication, or copyright without the express written consent of TMS and the individual authors is strictly prohibited. Contact the TMS Technical Programming Department to obtain a copy of the waiver release form.

PROCEEDINGS

The proceedings for the 5th International Conference on Structural & Functional Intermetallics will be published in Materials Science and Engineering A and will be available in approximately 6 months after the conference.

TECHNICAL SESSIONS

Sessions will begin on Monday, July 17, 2000 at 8:30 am. Sessions are listed by day. Paper titles and abstracts appear in this program.

AUTHORS'S INFORMATION

Author's Coffee

Authors and session chairman are required to attend the Author’s Cof-fee on the day of their presentation. Please refer to the Technical Pro-gram for the time and day of your presentation. The Author’s Coffee will be held in the Cowichan Room from 7:15 am-8:15 am.
