NanomaterialsTMS 2009: Nanotechnology Program
February 15-19, 2009 • San Francisco, California

The emerging field of nanotechnology has strong roots in materials science and engineering. Three separate symposia will examine different aspects of nanotechnology, while special networking receptions will provide an opportunity to meet with others working in your field.

PLANNED SYMPOSIA

The Nanotechnology 2009 program will include the following symposia:

  • 2009 Functional and Structural Nanomaterials: Fabrication, Properties, and Applications
This symposium will address the application, fabrication and fundamental materials science of nanomaterials as well as technological issues related to their integration for engineering applications. [MORE]

  • Mechanical Behavior of Nanostructured Materials
The focus of this symposium will be on experimental, theoretical and computational studies of mechanical properties of nanostructured materials in the form of bulk, thin films and coatings. [MORE]

  • Nanocomposite Materials
Hear presentations about nanocomposites for extreme environments, novel testing techniques, nanocomposite mechanical behavior, energy conversion materials and energetic nanocomposites, characterization methods, nanocomposite architectures, and industrial production of nanophase constituents. [MORE]

SPECIAL EVENTS

Networking Receptions
Join colleagues who share your technical interests! Plan to attend one of these receptions from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, to network and view posters.
