Free Online Access to TMS2014 Proceedings for Meeting Attendees
Attendees of the TMS 2014 Annual Meeting & Exhibition receive free, exclusive access to the collected proceedings publications online, and they also have the option of purchasing them on DVD for an additional $25.
The Annual Meeting collected proceedings were first offered online in 2013, and, thanks to the input of meeting attendees, TMS has developed an even more user-friendly process for accessing these publications in 2014.
  • Approximately one week prior to TMS2014, pre-registered attendees will be sent a URL and access information. On-site registrants will receive the information when they register.
  • The website will offer three options for accessing content: A single PDF file with all proceedings books; separate PDF files for each proceedings book; and complimentary access to the Wiley Online Library for downloads of individual articles.
  • No unique software will be needed; the files will be standard PDF files.
  • An on-site help location will be available to meeting attendees.
  • Free access to the 2014 collected proceedings will be available for six months after the first day access is granted. After that, standard pricing will take effect.
Those wishing to purchase the DVD can choose that option when registering for TMS2014.

Essential Readings in Magnesium Technology
Essential Readings in Magnesium Technology presents the best papers, based on a rigorous selection process, that have been published over the history of the TMS Magnesium Technology Symposium, one of the largest annual gatherings of magnesium specialists in the world. Developed to serve as the foundation for future magnesium alloy research and development, the collection includes 99 seminal papers organized within the following topic areas:
  • Magnesium Technology History and Overview
  • Electrolytic and Thermal Primary Production
  • Melting, Refining, Recycling, and Life-Cycle Analysis
  • Casting and Solidification
  • Alloy and Microstructural Design
  • Wrought Processing
  • Modeling and Simulation
  • Joining
  • Corrosion, Surface Treatment, and Coating
A unifying theme of this compilation is the highlighting of key findings that address barriers to more widespread usage, while enabling ever-improving properties that position magnesium and its alloys for unprecedented application in multiple sectors, particularly in the transportation industry.
Stop by the Wiley Booth near the main entrance to the exhibit hall during the TMS 2014 Annual Meeting & Exhibition at the San Diego Convention Center to purchase Essential Readings in Magnesium Technology, available in a single, hardcover volume.
