If you have graduated from a college or university (graduate or undergraduate) in the past three years, you are eligible for free or discounted membership in the society. Learn who qualifies and how to apply for our Recent Graduate membership.
Undergraduate and graduate students can access a number of the technical resources and benefits available to professional TMS members by joining the Material Advantage student program, sponsored jointly by TMS, the American Ceramic Society, ASM International, and the Association for Iron & Steel Technology.
Select individuals who live outside of the United States and Canada are eligible for International e-Membership in the society. International e-Members receive all of the same electronic member benefits as full TMS members, such as access to online journals and libraries, but do not receive print journals or TMS member discounts on events.
TMS members can apply for joint membership in the Brazilian Metallurgical, Materials and Mining Association (ABM), which allows them access to a suite of ABM member benefits at a discounted price.
TMS members can apply for joint membership in the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), which provides them access to a suite of IOM3 member benefits at a discounted price.
