MGM Grand Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada

New for TMS2025! TMS is introducing the Supplier Technology Forum series, designed to complement Light Metals technical programming at TMS2025. Suppliers in the following areas are invited to present their current technologies and offerings to TMS2025 attendees, with a focus on recent innovations related to the topic area.

Abstracts will be accepted through August 31, 2024 for the following sessions:

Aluminum Alloys: Development and Manufacturing Supplier Forum

Areas to be covered will include: all aspects of the necessary equipment for physical and mechanical metallurgy of aluminum alloys development and manufacturing, as well as analytical equipment for product development, testing and characterization of aluminum alloys for their implementation, and end use applications. This will include equipment for application in transportation (automotive, aerospace, and marine), packaging, and equipment for other key product segments. This call for presentations is addressed to suppliers of production and analytical equipment, managers, supervisors, technical personnel, and others involved in the aluminum alloy development and manufacturing sectors.

Aluminum Cast Shop Supplier Forum

Areas to be covered will include: molten aluminum refractories, furnace burner and control technology, metal treatment/quality measurement, casting/mold technology, and other areas of casthouse operation. The audience will include, but not be limited to, cast shop managers, technical personnel, and others from the aluminum industry who are registered for TMS2025.

Electrode Technology for Aluminum Production Supplier Forum

Areas to be covered include: green anode, baking and rodding room equipment, baking furnace refractories, cathode materials and refractories, quality measurement systems, automation and control systems, and other relevant areas related to anode and cathode production. The audience will consist of, but not be limited to, carbon and potroom supervisors, managers, and technical personnel and others from the aluminum industry.

Scandium Extraction and Use in Aluminum Alloys Supplier Forum

Areas to be covered include scandium extraction from ore and by-products, scandium-containing aluminum alloys, scandium-containing alloys for additive manufacture, and master alloy production. This call for presentations is addressed to suppliers of scandium compounds (oxide and fluoride), scandium metal, and scandium-containing alloys and companies with technologies that can be used to produce scandium and scandium alloys.

How to Participate

Submit a title and abstract (150 words or less) for your presentation via the TMS2025 ProgramMaster website. Note that manuscripts are not required, but Supplier Forum presenters are expected to provide their presentation slides or PDF to be shared with attendees.
