About the 1997 TMS Annual Meeting

Orlando '97 The premier meeting sponsored each year by The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) is the Annual Meeting. It features programming by all five of the Society's technical divisions--Electronic, Magnetic & Photonic Materials Division (EMPMD), Extraction & Processing Division (EPD), Light Metals Division (LMD), Materials Processing & Manufacturing Division (MPMD), and Structural Materials Division (SMD)--as well as the Materials Science Division of ASM International. During the Annual Meeting, numerous sessions by the TMS divisions update metallurgists, materials scientists, and engineers with the latest scientific and technical developments. Award presentations, tutorial lectures, short courses, receptions, invited luncheon speakers, a major exhibition, and other activities are also planned.

The 126th TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition will be held in Orlando, Florida's Orange County Convention Center from February 9-13, 1997. More than 200 technical sessions and 1,000 individual presentations will provide new approaches and solutions to complex problems in materials science and engineering.
