Phase Transformations Committee

The Phase Transformations Committee is part of the Materials Processing & Manufacturing Division.

Our Mission: Activities are oriented toward the fundamental aspects of phase transformations. Emphasis is placed on the thermodynamic driving force for phase transformations, the kinetics of nucleation and growth, interfacial structure and interfacial energies, transformation crystallography, surface reliefs, and, above all, the atomic mechanisms of phase transformations.
