LMD JOM Best Paper Award

This award recognizes the author(s) for excellence of a paper published in the preceding year's volume of JOM under a light metals related technical topic.

Recipients of this award may be eligible for the AIME Champion H. Mathewson Award and AIME Rossiter Raymond Memorial Award.

Criteria

1. The paper must be related to a light metals topic and be published in a JOM issue within the one-year period ending October 31. The eligibility date of nominated papers should be considered the online publication date of the individual paper, not the publication date of the issue in which the paper appears.
2. The paper must exemplify the application of science in solving a practical problem, and therefore must be technological in nature and present new and significant information.
3. The style must be clear and concise.

How to Nominate

Papers are selected by JOM LMD Advisors and Guest Editors, then recipient determined by LMD Award Committee.
