Scope: Lattice structures allow the geometric freedom of additive manufacturing (AM) to be realised in ways that are not conceivable for traditional manufacturing methods. This emerging opportunity is stymied by a series of technical challenges associated with: AM defects in lattice struts and nodes, prediction of lattice mechanical behaviour, characterisation of physical properties and mechanical response; as well as custom methodologies of certification and design. This special topic will call for papers belonging to these subject areas of AM lattice structures. It aims to showcase novel and enabling research outcomes that support the robust deployment of advanced AM lattice structures.

To ensure sufficient time for peer review, papers will not be accepted after the posted manuscript submission deadline. Original research papers should be 3,000-9,000 words with up to 12 figures maximum; review papers should be 6,000-11,000 words with up to 20 figures maximum.
