Publication Date: January 2017
Keywords: Characterization, Experimental Methods, Fundamentals
Scope: A variety of techniques have been developed allowing 3D imaging and characterization for structural materials. These include non-destructive approaches such as x-ray tomography, 3D XRD and diffraction contrast tomography at various length scales. Destructive techniques that includes advanced high-resolution serial sectioning by focused ion beam microscopy and 3D EBSD has also made significant contribution in understanding properties of engineering materials. Papers are invited on the application of advanced 3D characterization techniques on engineering materials.
