Scope: Gases are widely used in pyrometallurgical processes, for example as an energy source or for process improvements. This topic will cover the use of gases in pyrometallurgical processes such as converting and fire-refining. A special focus will be the use of gases for increasing process efficiency and/or quality by applications such as purging technology. Additionally, papers are invited on the use of gases in burners and advances in burner technology.
