TMS launched the Employing Artificial Intelligence to Accelerate Development and Implementation of Materials and Manufacturing Innovations science and technology accelerator study in 2021, with funding from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Office of Naval Research (ONR). With interest in artificial intelligence (AI) growing rapidly, the project supports innovative materials and manufacturing breakthroughs enabled by AI that will accelerate development and reduce costs of new materials, processes, and products.
