Meeting Resources
Materials in Nuclear Energy Systems (MiNES) 2025

December 7–11, 2025

Hilton Cleveland Downtown • Cleveland, Ohio, USA

Technical Program

MiNES is a conference that was created to serve the fission reactor materials community that grew out of, and supplants, biannual symposia held at the TMS meeting (Microstructure Processes in Irradiated Materials – MPIM) and the American Nuclear Society’s meeting (Nuclear Fuel and Structural Materials – NFSM). As such, the coverage of MiNES includes those topics held previously at MPIM and NFSM, which include the following:

  • Advanced/Novel Materials
  • Evolution of Material Properties
  • Fuels and Actinide Materials
  • Fundamental Irradiation Damage
  • Integrated Phenomena in Reactor Materials
  • Nuclear Fuel Cycles

Abstract Submissions

Abstracts must be submitted to ProgramMaster by June 2, 2025, to be considered for inclusion in the conference.

To assist the conference organizing committee in evaluating abstracts fairly, please be as clear and detailed in your abstract as possible. Abstracts should be 250 words.

If you have any questions regarding abstract submission, send an e-mail to TMS Programming Staff.

Poster Competitions

MiNES 2025 will feature two poster competitions. Awards will be presented for both Best Presentation and Best Student Poster/Presentation. This is a great opportunity to showcase your research and gain recognition for your work. We encourage all participants to take part and compete for these honors!
