Superalloy 718 & Derivatives 2026

Co-Located with Materials Science & Technology 2026 (MS&T26)

October 4–7, 2026

David L. Lawrence Convention Center • Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Technical Program

Recent innovations in alloy research, along with novel processing techniques, continue to extend their applications in very challenging environments—ranging from corrosion resistance in the deep sea to extreme temperature, radiation, and pressure resistance in space applications. Technical presentations are carefully and stringently curated to ensure the highest quality programming at Superalloy 718 & Derivatives. This conference will provide an opportunity for authors to present technical advancements relative to a broad spectrum of areas while assessing their impact on related fields associated with this critical alloy group.

This conference is more industrially focused than other superalloys conferences, with technical topics focusing on alloy and process development, production, product applications, trends, and the development of advanced modeling tools. New developments in R&D, new processing methods, 3D printing, and other nontraditional applications will also be covered in the program. Technical coverage at this conference will include:

  • Applications of Superalloys 718 & Derivatives
  • Applications of Legacy Alloys (Waspaloy, 617, Related Alloys)
  • Alloy Development & Innovation
  • Melting, Forging, and Wrought Processes
  • Powder and Additive Manufacturing
  • Welding and Repair
  • Environmental Behavior and Protection
  • Microstructure and Properties
  • Modeling and Data Analytics

Abstract Submissions

Abstracts must be submitted to ProgramMaster by August 8, 2025, to be considered for inclusion in the conference.

Abstracts should be no more than 250 words in length. An extended abstract in PDF is recommended and should be no more than two pages plus figures. If your abstract is accepted, you will be required to submit a manuscript. The manuscript deadline is December 18, 2025. Please note that this deadline will not be extended, so authors should secure permissions and clearances as early as possible.

If you have any questions regarding abstract submission, send an e-mail to TMS Programming Staff.

Continuing Education Credits

Can participants earn continuing education credits even if TMS is not a registered education provider with their certification body?

In many cases, yes. Certification bodies often accept relevant continuing education from professional entities on an hour-for-hour basis. We recommend contacting your certification provider to confirm specific eligibility requirements before registering.

For proof of participation, you may use your payment receipt or contact TMS to request a certificate of completion.
